      "APPLICATION">lprm</b> Job Selection</a></h1>

      <p>Jobs are selected by providing a job number, or <var
      class="LITERAL">glob</var> pattern that is matched to the
      user name and and job identifier. If multiple patterns are
      provided each is applied in turn against the jobs in a queue
      until all have been tried. If any one of the patterns match
      then the job status is displayed.</p>

      <p>If no selection information is provided then the user name
      performing the request is used as the selection pattern, and
      only the first job that matches is removed.</p>

      <p>The <var class="LITERAL">all</var> pattern will match all
      jobs in the queue.</p>

      <p>The user must have permission to control the queue or to
      remove a selected job in order for job removal to
      succeed.</p>
