.SH NAME
apgp \- wrapper around pgp that provides passphrases for you
.SH SYNOPSIS
\fBapgp\fR [ \fB\fIOPTION\fB\fR\fI ...\fR ] [ \fB\fIFILE\fB\fR ] [ \fB\fIUSERID\fB\fR\fI ...\fR ]
.SH "DESCRIPTION"
.PP
When \fBq-agent\fR is running, \fBapgp\fR can
be used instead of \fBpgp\fR, and it will try to get all
necessary passphrases from the agent instead of asking you
directly.
.PP
Since all arguments are handed off to \fBpgp\fR
verbatim, the interface of \fBapgp\fR is exactly the same as
that of \fBpgp\fR.
.PP
The following \fBpgp\fR options will influence the
behaviour of \fBapgp\fR itself:
.TP
\fB-u, +myname \fINAME\fB\fR
informs \fBapgp\fR that it should provide the
passphrase for the key indicated by
\fINAME\fR.
.TP
\fB--version\fR
\fBapgp\fR will output its version, too.
.SH "COMPATIBILITY"
.PP
\fBapgp\fR is inteded to work only with \fBpgp\fR
versions that start with 2.6.
.SH "ENVIRONMENT"
.TP
\fBAGENT_SOCKET\fR
\fBapgp\fR will use this variable to find the socket for
communicating with the agent.
.TP
\fBPGPPASSFD\fR
Because this variable is used by \fBapgp\fR
itself, any value inherited from a calling process will be
effectively ignored.
