Version 0.90 1/26/99 Ethan Gold 1. Copy runit.tcl to somewhere convenient like /usr/local/bin. You may want to rename it to simply "runit" or "tkrunit." 2. Copy runitrc.sample to ~/.runitrc and configure to your heart's content. The sample file just has copies of the defaults. You can skip this step if you don't want to customize anything. All settings are optional and may be omitted. 3. Optionally bind a keystroke in your window manager to launch tkRunIt. Problems: --------- tkRunIt should work out-of-the-archive, but if it doesn't, try the following: * If runit.tcl has problems starting up, try deleting all the lines leading up to: #!usr/local/bin/wish and then editing the above line to reflect the location of wish on your system.
